Ignite invites public to professional development opportunity

Are you stressed?Are you constantly worried about one thing or another?Would you like to learn the secrets to overcome stress?

Ignite: Jones County Young Professionals has the professional development opportunity for you!Ignite has contracted with Mitch Matthews, author of the book “Ignite” to bring an exciting opportunity to your backyard.Matthews will present “Is Your Hair on Fire-Secrets to Overcoming WorryFor the Rest of Us,” a presentation that will help you break out of the cycle of worry, and allow you to get back your ability to be creative, effective and focused. He uses specific examples, funny, moving and inspiring, to give his audiences strategies that can be applied right away.

“The Ignite Professional Development Committee researched various speakers, and we felt that Mitch would provide a quality experience for our audience,” said Professional Development Chair Kristine Nation, Quality Assurance manager at Bennett Machine & Fabricating. “He has proven to be a big draw in communities where he has presented. At one Des Moines venue where he presented, organizers were planning on 600 to attend, and 6,000 showed up!We look to see a big Jones County crowd as well.”

The event will take place on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Eagles Club in Monticello. Doors open at 6 p.m., the presentation is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Please bring a business card to enter for door prizes.
