    Board considers next steps in building study

    Kevin Eipperle of FEH Associates, Inc. said the most popular option for new school facilities to come out of recent meetings involves putting all grade levels at the Monticello High School site.

    Speaking to the Monticello School Board and about 25 others, mostly school employees, Eipperle reviewed the results of past meetings during a special board meeting Wednesday, May 8.

    Secondary roads rock letting set for May 14

    The Jones County Board of Supervisors set a rock letting date for Tuesday, May 14, at 9:30 a.m.

    At the Supervisors meeting on April 30, County Engineer Derek Snead said they want to resurface approximately 177.14 miles of secondary roads throughout the county, with crushed stone, and meet the requirements of 1-inch crushed stone and/or Class A crushed stone.
